Ella’s summer highlights:
Ella turned 8 in June! She had a gymnastics birthday party and had a blast. Throughout the summer, she enjoyed going to Gymnastics Camp, Jump Rope camp, and Camp MusArt. She learned lots of new skills in jump rope camp and continues to jump jump jump! She enjoyed lots of birthday parties this summer and lots of time at the pool. She passed two swimming tests at the Y and loves going down the water slide. With the help of goggles she has found a greater love for the ocean. Previously, she would just splash at the edge of the waves. Now, she will go out and swim with Andrew and ride the waves in on her belly. She has started back to dance—hip hop, jazz, tap, and ballet. She is now in THIRD grade and doing great so far.

Jonah’s summer highlights:
Jonah went to Gymnastics camp and Kindercamp. His last day at his daycare/school was July 30 and then he started Pre-K in mid-August. It has been a big adjustment for him to go to school everyday… He has had a great summer with his buddies Chet, Levi, and Dylan. It would be an understatement to say that Jonah is obsessed with videogames and Legos! His reward for good behavior is to play a Lego video game. Despite his interest in being home and in the playroom, we did get him outside quite a bit. He loved spending time at the Sprayground at the Y and had fun splashing at the beach. He is getting stronger on his bike and practices his “light saber” skills often. He started taking tap classes this fall. His teacher says that not only does he pay attention but that he is actually “getting it.”

Family highlights:
We have had lots of fun family adventures this summer: pool, 4th of July parade and fireworks, beach, picking peaches, planetarium, Home Depot projects, museums, lemonade stands, driveway parties, and hanging out with friends.
