Hey everybody
Summer has been a lot of fun here at the Warren house.
Jonah turned 5 months old and has changed so much. He is reaching out and grabbing things that he wants. He babbles and "talks" all the time. He has also started to scoot around doing what we call “THE PARROT.” He grabs onto the blanket on the floor and chomps down with his mouth and then pulls his knees up and then pushes forward… like a bird uses his beak to climb. He also rolls around to get to where he wants and loves to chew on anything and everything. As you can imagine, lots and lots of drool covers most surfaces in our house. Sleeping is a hit or miss kind of thing—some nights are amazing: 8pm-6am. Other nights he is up and up and up. He is doing great at eating rice cereal and loves to sit at the table with us and of course be closer to big sis at meal times.
Ella finished her year at 3 year old preschool. It was sad to say good bye to her teachers and friends at STMM but she is enjoying her summer vacation. We have been going to the pool a lot—especially in the evenings. She loves to swim with her water-wings and is getting braver in the water. She is getting ready for her first ballet recital (of course, new pictures of her recital will be up later this month) and is looking forward to her 4 year old birthday. She is in vacation bible school this week and seems to be enjoying the new friends and activities… plus it gives me and Jonah some special time together.
We are all enjoying our family walks at night and checking for tadpoles and peepers in the creek behind the house (the creek was a raging river yesterday as the tropical storm dumped 7+ inches of rain on us!).
We hope you are all doing well!
Sarah, Andrew, Ella, and Jonah Peter
