We bought two tandem kayaks in May and have loved every minute we have been able to spend on the water. We found a great put-in about 15 minutes from our house and we have all enjoyed birdwatching (including Jonah’s favorite, BALD EAGLES) and some fishing. The kids are content to just drag their hands in the water as we paddle around. Ella “helps” paddle some. It is so nice that the kids are old enough to enjoy the kayaks as much as we do!
Andrew ran in the 2nd annual STMM 5K. The kids loved cheering him on and the announcer let Jonah chant: “Go, Daddy, GO! Go, Daddy, GO!” over the PA system.
Ella performed in her ballet recital with the American Ballet School. We were so proud of her and proud of Jonah for being a good audience member!
As many of you already know, Jonah had his first ER visit. He cracked his head on the chair rail in the music room and needed a CT scan and a staple to hold the wound closed while it healed. He was a trooper the whole time and didn’t cry at the hospital. He called his staple “ca-ching” because of the noise it made when it was placed in his skin. We had a rough few days after the concussion—he was really out of sorts, but he is all healed up now and has a small scar.
