We are also working on a Gallery Page. It is still under construction, but it is available at:

As May comes to an end, I am thrilled to say that Jonah is getting better and better at sleeping at night. I do not want to “jinx” us, but there have been numerous nights that the little man went to sleep at 8:30pm and slept through until 6am! Sometimes he wakes in the night—but Andrew has been successful at just sticking the pacifier back in his mouth and rubbing his tummy for a moment. Jonah started eating rice cereal this month—he has it occasionally (we are still trying to determine if eating cereal is causing some sleeping problems… we’ll let you know next time!). He has done a great job eating and, of course, Ella loves to help feed him. Jonah is rolling over all the time now. He can grab toys or blankets near him and they go straight to his mouth. He is ticklish and he will laugh and laugh (especially at Ella when acting silly).
Ella and I went to the Ballet last weekend. We saw “The Ugly Duckling” and “Cinderella” at the Raleigh Memorial Auditorium. It was lovely and Ella enjoyed the whole experience. We will definitely go back next season. Ella has also been practicing her soccer skills and she can dribble a basketball now. We spend lots of time outside on walks and bike rides. One of her favorite activities is to look for tadpoles in the creek. She is still deeply obsessed with Princesses and Ballerinas (which was fueled by our Cinderella ballet experience).
We braved our first “road trip” to the beach last Sunday. Jonah slept for about ½ the car ride and only got really fussy at the end (we were grateful that the drive was not too stressful). It was a PERFECT beach day. Ella loved digging in the sand and building castles. We dipped Jonah’s toes in the water—it was cold, but he didn’t seem to mind. He spent most of the time staring at the waves and seemed to enjoy himself. We all loved walking in the surf and collecting shells. I think Ella screamed and ran for most of the day. She did get knocked over in the surf, but she managed to keep her head above water and she handled it very well. We also enjoyed eating brunch with Grandpa Warren, Grandma Connie, Aunt Wendy, and Uncle Robert.
Farley (who will turn 8 years old on June 15) has finally accepted Jonah into our pack. He did sniff the baby when we first came home and has given his feet a lick, but he has basically ignored the new addition to our family. Now, Farley sits in the doorway to Jonah’s room when I am nursing. Farley will also stand “guard” by the crib when Jonah is crying. So, Farley may be getting to be an “old man,” but apparently, he can still learn new behaviors as our family has grown.
We hope you are all doing well!
