We have two sets of pictures this month:

April was a very busy month for us!

We had lots of visitors:
Donald and Connie (aka Grandpa Warren and Grandma Connie) stopped by for a quick visit on Andrew’s birthday.
Grandpa Keith spent his spring break with us and we had a family dinner with Matt, Catherine, Grace, Gloria, and Wendy (we missed seeing Robert!).
Great Grandma Gill and Great Aunt Susie came to visit.
Finally, Great Aunt Mary, Frank, Nana, Papa, Great Aunt Peggy, Maggie, Great Granny Egan, Katie, Pete, Katie Rivers, Bruce, Emily, Joe, Julie, Grandpa Warren, Grandma Connie, Great Aunt Pat, Great Uncle Frank, Olivia, Great Grandma Warren, Great Aunt Yvonne, Matt, Catherine, Grace, and Gloria came to celebrate Jonah’s baptism with us. ( I hope I am not forgetting anyone!!!!).
We had a wonderful time with all our visitors and were so glad that so many people were able (and willing) to travel to meet little man, Jonah Peter. It meant so much to us to have so many family and friends here with us.

Also in April, we celebrated Andrew’s 33rd b-day and Easter. For Andrew’s birthday, we enjoyed a special evening out at the Taste of the Triangle while Uncle Joe stayed with both the kids. For Easter, we colored eggs and had many many Easter egg hunts. As an Easter tradition adapted from Grandma Connie, Ella’s (and now Jonah’s) basket is hidden and a long ribbon leads her from the bottom of the stairs to the hiding place. She loved discovering her basket! As an Easter tradition adapted from Nana, Ella gets “stuff” in her basket, not candy (although she did get some pink Peeps!). This year she got a new book for her LeapPad and knee pads and wrist guards for skating and biking. Jonah got bibs for all his DROOL!

Jonah is now 4 months old. He rolled over from his back to his stomach for the first time on his 4 month “birthday.” Uncle Joe, Ella and I were all standing right there and we missed it! We just looked over and he was on his belly—smiling and proud! Still a drool factory and now he produces bubbles! (Check out RABID BABY picture!). He is doing great at GOING to bed. In fact, at night we can put him down in his crib when he is drowsy but still awake and he falls asleep on his own. He still gets up once (and occasionally more) at night but goes quickly back to sleep. He is able to bat at toys near him and will pull items to his mouth. His favorite is still to chew on his blankets.

Ella is loving the spring weather and spending lots of time outside. We have been going to pick strawberries about two times a week. She has enough patience and focus to fill up about one bucket full of strawberries. Then she loves to feed the two horses at the farm. She picks handfuls of clover for them and loves to hug their giant heads! She is so careful and gentle (and so are these old horses) and she loves to pat them. We can’t believe how big she is now and how much she can do. She sets and clears the table at meal times. She can put away her clothes and most of Jonah’s. And she is just such a big help. She is getting the idea of reading and likes to point out letters that she sees on signs. She also is like a sponge when it comes to music—she is always singing songs from school, church, and our cds. She loves to read and dance. Her ballet recital is coming up in June and she is really looking forward to being on stage.

My semester ended last week so I am looking forward to a summer with just the kids.

We hope you are all doing well!
Sarah, Andrew, Ella, and Jonah Peter
