Hey everybody
Jonah is 10 weeks old and interacting more and more with us. He is laughing and smiling (mostly at Ella and his airplane mobile above his crib). He is sleeping better at night which thrills us to no end. He is also a “talker” and will just babble on and on—especially whenever we make really good eye contact with him. He has started to like bubble baths and will smack the water with his arm. He is still hating car rides which is quite grating on the nerves because he screams a lot. Ella is such a good sport about the car screaming. She just asks us to turn up the Black Eyed Peas, opera or the Dixie Chicks (she has very eclectic musical tastes).
Ella has been wowing us with her drawing (mostly rainbows and flowers lately—very sweet and girly). She is *almost* getting the point of spelling and is getting better at writing all the letters. She can consistently spell and write: Ella, Mom, Dad, Nana, and Jonah. She is loving school still and continually surprises us with what she is learning—last week as we were talking about astronauts in a library book she said: “There is no gravity in space, Mom. I learned that in school.”
We hope you are all doing well!
Sarah, Andrew, Ella, and Jonah Peter
