This month Andrew, Jonah, and I have suffered through a terrible cold that never wanted to go away. Luckily, Ella remained healthy!
We are enjoying spring and spend a lot of time down at the creek. We look for animal trails, throw rocks in the water, dig in the sand, and float leaves and sticks down the creek. Farley loves to join us. Even though he is getting old, he acts just like a puppy at the creek.
A big, giant thanks to Martie and George (aka Grammie and Sweet Potato) for watching the kids for us for the entire weekend while Andrew and I went away to Blowing Rock, NC. It snowed in Blowing Rock and we enjoyed hiking on some trails, poking around the town, getting massages, eating uninterrupted meals, and going snow tubing! The kids did great. Unfortunately, both of us were sick over that weekend! But, we really enjoyed the time away.
We bought Jonah a new hat and he really likes it (we are glad that he has transitioned from the fleece winter hat now that we are having warm days!). He is also just starting to do potty training.
Although we won’t be here for Easter, we colored Easter Eggs together. While no one was looking, Jonah chugged some of the green egg dye! YUCK! We all enjoyed a neighborhood Easter Egg hunt and our own impromptu Easter Egg hunts around the house!
Ella is reading and writing like a champ. She loves to read to Jonah which is really sweet. Last weekend, Andrew took her ice skating at a friend’s birthday party. She did really well—but she did bump her bottom pretty hard!
Happy Spring and Happy Easter to all!
Sarah, Andrew, Ella, and Jonah
